ABOUT THE COURSE
This is a very hands-on and practical training and the following subjects will be attended to:
- Wardrobe for workwear: Why it matters & how to dress well on a budget. Shows respect for yourself, your job, and your employer. and helps people see you as reliable and professional. You do not need expensive clothes to looking professional is about being clean, neat and appropriate.
- Wardrobe Go-To: Mix & match (workwear vs casual and in-between). A go-to wardrobe focuses on a small collection of versatile, well-fitting pieces that can be mixed and matched easily. Think neutral basics for work, relaxed staples for casual wear, and a few adaptable items that bridge the gap between the two.
- Budget Friendly Workwear Tips: The Power of Second-Hand Shopping, Thrift stores, Charity shops and Online marketplaces.
- How to Maintain your Clothes: Tips, Tricks and Guidelines.
- What Employers look for: The do’s and don’t’s. Feel more confident by following this Checklist to success.
- How to Wear Juwellery: Jewellery should compliment your outfit, balance is key, wearing statement pieces can be overbearing if not done properly. Match metals where possible and consider neckline, sleeve length and workspace environment. Subtle and classy pieces look more polished – less is more when you are at work.
- The right Shoes for the Job: shoes can make or break an outfit, both in style and practicality. Choose footwear that suits the occasion, offers comfort, and works with your overall look. Structured shoes like loafers, courts, or ankle boots elevate workwear, while trainers or flats suit casual days. For in-between looks, opt for clean, versatile styles that can transition easily without looking too formal or too relaxed.
- Let’s talk about Hair: We will look at styles, maintenance and what is the perfect hair for interviews.
- How to Prepare for an Interview: Preparation examples and questions. Planning for travel to the interview. What documents to bring. Feel more confident and show you take the job seriously.
